What is the difference between Eckho Bots and Eckho Premium?
Eckho Bots is the full knowledge bot platform — bots, workspaces, apps, and collections — available on all plans from free upwards. Eckho Premium is a workspace-based license that unlocks advanced modules like Eckho Explorer. Premium requires an active Eckho Bots plan and is priced separately per module tier.
What am I paying for?
You are paying for an Eckho account that lets you build, host, organize, and share bots powered by your own knowledge. Your monthly credits support hosted knowledge capacity and your private internal usage inside the platform.
What is a credit?
A credit is the account unit that supports hosted knowledge and private internal work inside Eckho. $1 = 1,000 credits. Credits are not charged to your audience when they use your shared apps.
Do my audience members pay to use my shared apps?
No. Your audience can use your shared apps without needing their own paid Eckho account. Audience-facing app chats remain free.
What uses credits in my account?
Credits are used to maintain the knowledge your bots keep available and for the private internal work you do while building and refining them. Shared audience-facing app usage remains outside that paid account balance.
How is Eckho different from a general AI chat tool?
General AI chat tools are designed for open-ended conversations with a broad assistant. Eckho is designed for creating, hosting, and sharing focused bots built on your own knowledge. Instead of just chatting privately, you can publish bots as apps, organize them into collections, and let your audience use them freely.
Why does Eckho show knowledge capacity?
Eckho bots rely on hosted knowledge that stays available over time, so your plan includes a defined amount of knowledge capacity. This helps keep pricing predictable while giving you flexibility to balance knowledge and private internal usage inside your account.
How does the storage and chat split work?
Your total monthly credits are allocated between hosted knowledge capacity and private internal usage. This gives you flexibility to match your account to the way you use Eckho.
Can I change my split later?
Yes. You can adjust your allocation from approved split options inside your account. If you want to reduce storage allocation, your currently hosted knowledge must fit inside the lower storage limit first.
Do unused credits roll over?
Monthly subscription credits reset each month. However, top-up credits never expire and roll over month to month automatically.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Premium account activity pauses until you top up or your monthly credits reset. Shared audience-facing app chats remain outside this internal premium account balance.
What login options are available?
Eckho supports email and password registration as well as Google single sign-on (SSO). You can choose either method from the signup page at any time.
What is an indexed folder in Eckho Desktop?
An indexed folder is a folder you connect to Eckho Desktop so it can read, understand, and answer questions about the files inside it. Your plan limits how many folders you can connect at once — not the number of files inside them.
Can I use Eckho Desktop on more than one machine?
Yes. All paid plans include up to 3 machines per user at no extra charge. Your license is registered per machine at startup. If you reach your machine limit, you can deactivate an old machine from within the app.
What is the LLM Pro add-on?
A single +$9/month add-on that unlocks all available AI models — Fast (GPT), Smart (GPT), Swift (Claude), and Deep (Claude). You can switch between models per session inside the app. All plans include GPT-4o by default without the add-on.
How does Team and Business licensing work?
One master license key is issued for the organisation. Your admin activates and manages user seats from the Eckho Admin panel. Each user then registers their own machines against the shared license — up to 3 machines per user.
What happens when my Eckho Desktop trial expires?
The app locks on next launch after 30 days. You will be prompted to contact Eckho, purchase a plan, and receive a new license key by email to unlock the app.
Is annual billing available for Eckho Desktop?
Annual billing with a discount is planned. Contact Eckho at support@eckho.ai for current options.
